A long connection at Atlanta airport can make the crowded gate area feel endless. The Delta Sky Club in Concourse B looks like an obvious escape—but your economy fare type may block access even when you hold an eligible card or membership.
Convenient location, but check your gate
The lounge is airside in Concourse B, near Gate B18. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport currently lists its opening hours as 6:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. daily. Hours can change, so confirm them in Delta’s lounge directory or app on your travel date.
ATL’s Plane Train connects the concourses after security. You can therefore reach Concourse B from another ATL concourse, but allow enough time to return to your departure gate.
What can you expect inside?
Delta says its Atlanta Sky Clubs offer fresh food and premium beverages. This makes the Concourse B location useful when you want a meal, a drink and a calmer place to wait between flights.
Do not assume every Delta Sky Club has showers or identical amenities. Delta states that showers are available only at selected locations, and its house rules say Sky Clubs do not provide meeting-room services.
Can economy passengers enter?
Some Main Cabin economy passengers can enter using an eligible Delta Sky Club membership, qualifying American Express card or another approved credential. However, Delta Main Basic passengers are not currently permitted access, even if they would otherwise have an eligible membership or card benefit.
You normally need a qualifying same-day boarding pass, an eligible membership, card or cabin/status benefit, and government-issued identification when required. A lounge credential does not replace your boarding pass.
Entry for departing passengers generally begins within three hours of scheduled departure. Connecting passengers may access a club before their onward flight without that three-hour restriction, subject to capacity.
Delta has discontinued ordinary Single Visit Pass sales, so travellers without a qualifying credential should not assume they can buy admission at the door. Some eligible members and cardholders can bring guests for US$50 per guest per visit. Guest allowances and children’s rules depend on the access method; children under two are free under certain eligible card benefits, but this is not a universal children’s policy.
Is this lounge right for your ATL connection?
The Concourse B Sky Club is most relevant to travellers who already have confirmed Delta access and want food, drinks and a quieter wait near the B gates. It is not a dependable paid-entry option for ordinary Main Basic passengers.
